Welcome! I’m so glad you are here.

I am an artist, living between Wellington, New Zealand and Timor-Leste (East Timor).

If you are here, you’ll be hearing about:

1. My days in the studio, what is propelling me forward and how I make a life as an artist

2. Thoughts about the systems that go into keeping the studio and business humming

3. Some things about life - I think a lot about how to make life simple and clear - it’s the only way I can make sure I get into the studio to do the work!

4. I’ll be sending out the word when I have an exhibition on to visit, with some releases of art for sale too, from time to time

5. I post once or twice a month

So make yourself at home!

I have a section which will probably only be of interest to artists and makers called Creating an Art Business. If you are not an artist or maker yourself, you probably don’t want to read those ones. So you can just unsubscribe from those here. (The same link will help you unsubscribe from my other posts too if it happens you want to hear only about business things)

Stay up-to-date

Every new edition of the newsletter goes directly to your inbox, approximately every second week.

BUT… I like to keep my inbox super clean, so you could do like I do, and do all my Substack reading in to the website or in the app (link below)- where you can read this and all your other Substacks, so its more like getting a really good, personalised magazine. If you are in the app, turn on ‘smart notifications’ and your inbox will stay clean(er)
